The lodge we use for our
deer hunts is a bed and breakfast located right on the edge of our hunting
area. Nestled into the woods it is surrounded by wildlife and the calming
sounds of the north. It has four bedrooms and a large living room/gathering
area with sofas, satellite TV, and a fridge for your use. For those
who like more privacy there is a cabin just a few steps from the front
door. The loveable lady who runs the bed and breakfast is a journeyman
chef whos meals are of course nothing short of excellent. She has a
hearty hot breakfast for you first thing in the morning before sending
you off with a bagged lunch for your days hunt. Suppers are done right
here as well and take good home cooking to a whole new level. You will
feel right at home while staying here and will be treated to service
with a smile.
As one of our clients put
it, "the hunting is only part of it". The atmosphere around
the lodge is what really makes this trip. The people who run it are
a lot of fun to be around and take hospitality to a whole new level.
Audrey cooks all day long and makes the best home made meals most clients
have ever had. Once you fill your tag, your time spent around camp is
a whole other experience which is worth the trip itself. From going
baiting with the guides and looking for elk and deer out feeding in
the mornings, to the anticipation when your fellow hunters arrive back
at the lodge every evening, the whole trip could be described as an
event.
